I stayed at the Campanile Hotel Doncaster four years ago, and due to an issue with parking registration during the hotel's reception closures because of COVID-19, I've only recently received a County Court Judgment (CCJ) for a parking fine. Here's my experience: Pros: Good location near Doncaster Dome and Racecourse. Rooms were clean and met basic expectations. Cons: Parking Issues: The hotel requires daily registration for parking, but when you can't access the reception due to external factors, you're left vulnerable to fines. Despite my attempts to seek help, the hotel provided no assistance, leading to this legal headache years later. Service: When issues arise, the response from the hotel was inadequate, leaving guests to deal with significant consequences. Long-term Impact: A stay that should have been straightforward has turned into a legal and financial burden, affecting my credit rating at a time when personal health challenges make this even more stressful. Advice for Future Guests: Be extremely cautious if you plan to park at this hotel. Ensure you register your vehicle immediately or consider alternative parking options. If you face any issues, document all communications with the hotel staff, as you might need this for future disputes. Overall: I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to drive, given my experience. The potential for unresolved issues leading to legal action long after your stay is a significant deterrent. Note: I am currently in the process of seeking compensation from the hotel for this ordeal, but until it's resolved, I feel it's necessary to warn others of the potential pitfalls of staying here, especially if you're driving.

It was in a nice and quiet place, close to a lot of fast food restaurants, cinema as well as an ASDA. The price is great, affordable and you get your money's worth. However, the beds were slightly uncomfortable and the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbours TV past midnight. However, for a 2 star hotel it did its job and we were pleased while staying at the hotel.

It's 2 star so don't expect 5 star. Rooms could be cleaner, bedding and towels clean. Order breakfast the day before and its £10.25 pp, that's really good value inc drinks, toast, full cooked breakfast. Yes the whole place needs updating but then it won't be as cheap. If you just need to sleep and shower its perfect. The staff really do go above and beyond to help, they gave us a heater and extra duvets, just had to ask. I'd stay again.

After paying for room in full you need to leave a deposit that they don't send back to you they say 2-3 days been over a week and still not returned it

Room 11- Date-30th November-1st Dec Stayed here a couple of times now but I have never had such a bad experience like that. Plugs weren’t working at all and the receptionist thought we were stupid and said “have you checked see if their on”. Also to top it all off they basically said ether have a full refund or half a refund and a free breakfast, we took half a refund but if boyfriend dosent get it in 2-3 working days I will be putting a further complaint in. When walked into the bathroom a funny smell hit us and wasn’t a good smell at all as made me gip abit. Altogether wouldn’t stay here again. Thanks

The room is very good for the price. It’s warm, clean, two chairs for two people and plenty of tea bags. Double what they give you in a Premier Inn! Staff in the bar very helpful too.

Was here on a week long work visit. Never again. Room walls paper thin so much so hear the residents in this brothel having it off.. Then outside over run with rats Room was filthy, smelly And a manager with an attitude like she was doing you a favour.. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

I have contacted both booking and the hotel the hotel accepts no responsibility and we keep going back and forth on the fact whether or not I could have gotten scabies there and they cannot say for a fact that 100% it did not come from their room because it did I am left with scabs and welts all over my body and they refuse to refund and tried to make it seem like it was my fault I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you want to spend a fortune on creams and lotions that may or may not work the general manager is extremely rude and has a bad attitude and seems so insulted that someone would have a bad experience at her Hotel well I hate to break it to you but your hotel gave me scabies and quite a severe case might I add scabies love humidity and your rooms are ungodly humid you say you have a cleaning company come in and do your bedding so who's to say that they did a good enough job you don't know because you weren't there. Worst customer service Ive ever had and her snarky attitude was the cherry on top

Peaceful retreat to rest and recover before re-entering the business of the world. Clean fresh rooms. Pleasant and friendly staff willing to help as they can. Good quality food, simply prepared. A place to revisit again and again

Do not go to this hotel. About 4 days after I checked out I noticed little bites all over me which then turned into a severe case of scabies I have documented it and spent hundreds on creams and lotions reached out to the hotel and they told me that they were not to blame and would not give me a refund I 100% contracted them from their Hotel

This hotel may be rated 3 stars, but the cleanliness and exceptionally attentive, friendly staff made it feel like a 5-star experience. It truly shows that it's not the star rating that defines a great hotel, but the quality of the staff!

My father is staying here in between house moves, the rooms are basic but clean and just what you need. Prices are reasonable and the staff will go above and beyond! I do recommend this place. Thank you for looking after my father, much respect! 👍🏻🖤

Very friendly and welcoming staff, however £95.20 for a bed when all you can feel is Springs is a bit disappointing. £25 for microwave meals was a bit disappointing, to be honest.

Stayed here as paid for by the company I work for. Very American motel-like. Access to all rooms is directly from outside, so your door is straight out onto an outdoor path, so it can get a bit noisy and I was woken up a few times because of this in the night. Room was decent enough but very sparse. Amenities were ok and what you'd expect for the price. All you have to bear in mind is that it's a bed for the night, but saying that, the bed! I have honestly sat on more comfy bicycle seats. When all said and done you basically get what you pay for. Everything you need if you just need somewhere to stay, definitely not somewhere to stay for the pleasure or experience of it.

Rooms very dated and basic. It is a motel style not a hotel so you get what you pay for. There is however everything you need in the room. Tv free WiFi. Towels, tea and coffee etc. Beds very clean and comfy. There is a bar selling drinks and food. Staff really friendly and very helpful. Buses into Doncaster on the doorstop and regular.

The most disgusting beds. I'm absolutely OFFENDED! You make us sleep on what I can only describe as a barbecue grill....it does not even come close to a bad mattress. I hated it and all I wanted was some sleep. At least get some damn mattress toppers or lay over some blankets. What disgrace. I'll never book again.

My partner booked this hotel, and I could not be more fuming that he did. This place is absolute hell. We booked a 2 night stay, upon first impression it's a cute little place, in a good location. Then we realised the bed was full of springs stabbing into you& and to top it off we were kept up all night by a stag do staying in the surrounding rooms. The rooms just feel dirty too. We checked out a night early as the bed and lack of sleep was just unbearable. AVOID!!!!

We stayed here for the MMA Awards over at the Dome. It was in the perfect location, walking distance from where we were. Quite and out the way. The hotel is more like an American motel layout, rather than your typical hotel. Super basic but has all the amenities you need, such as complimentary tea, coffee, towels, free WIFI, it’s more than generous for the price. However I would say, maybe ask for additional pillows to sleep on, as we only got one each. Our stay was warm, friendly, quiet and super super clean. For two of us the price was unbeatable and we got the most friendly welcome in the morning by the cleaning staff and reception staff. We had an amazing home cooked full English breakfast, with lots of choice and a quaint little continental, all you can eat. You really can’t go wrong for the price if you’re looking for somewhere cheap, cheerful, clean and friendly. This place is the ideal. The only issue we had, was that we attempted to pay online through their webpage when we booked and were told we had to pay when we got there, in the booking email so we drew the money out for the stay, only to be told when we got there we couldn’t pay cash. Luckily we had extra in the bank or it could have been a case of us staying in our car. The young man on the desk on arrival wasn’t very friendly or helpful and had a bit of an attitude about the situation, which when we were running late for the event already, after travelling up from Dorset and there being a majour accident on the rds, Wasn’t great. We were hoping to check in, dump bags and run but this little incident meant we couldn’t do that, which was slightly frustrating and made us very late but not wholly the hotels fault. We will be using this hotel again in future should we be back in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This place is the far worst place ever to stay at the rooms are more like a hostel and location brings u to golf course service do not get times right and get dates mixed most far worst place would never stay again and give u a wooden stick not a Spoon differently hostel not a hotel please believe this place is a joke
